Making an Appointment at Ovation Fertility San Antonio

Your OB/GYN or fertility specialist has recently referred you to Ovation® Fertility San Antonio. Now it’s up to you to arrange a time for a semen analysis, other types of sperm testing, sperm preparation for intrauterine insemination (IUI) or sperm preparation for IVF.  Each of these procedures represents a step toward the resolution of your infertility.

Fertility treatment provided by your physician’s office, and andrology or IVF lab services performed at our San Antonio IVF lab, are frequently combined together to help patients overcome female and male infertility.

At Ovation Fertility San Antonio, we are committed to helping you achieve your goals through targeted fertility testing and advanced lab services. 

Our laboratories specialize in andrology and embryology services that support your OB/GYN, urologist or fertility specialist.  Your appointment will take place in our new facility, in a fully accredited IVF lab outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment and built to exacting standards to protect the genetic materials that we handle every day:

  • Sperm for semen analysis, IUI, IVF, ICSI and donor services
  • Oocytes (eggs) for IVF, cryopreservation, fertility preservation, and rescue and donor services
  • Embryos for IVF, cryopreservation, fertility preservation, and rescue and donor services

Ovation Fertility San Antonio is conveniently located adjacent to the Texas Fertility Center office in the Stone Oak area of North San Antonio. After your physician’s office requests the services you will need, you may either contact us, or our scheduling coordinator will contact you to arrange a time for your appointment. We offer regular office hours Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., but we also offer flexible hours as necessary to coincide with fertility treatment cycles and IVF.

Andrology

Male infertility treatment can be as simple as taking some pills to restore hormonal balance and optimize sperm production, or it may involve sperm preparation for IUI, surgery or IVF. Once you have been referred to see us, your urologist or fertility specialist will provide you with a patient requisition form, or you may contact us directly at (210) 858-3335.

To ensure the most accurate results possible, we will provide you with instructions to collect and transport a semen specimen to us.

In most cases, semen analysis results are available to you or your physician within 24 hours of testing.

Embryology

Highly trained embryologists contribute to the success of IVF – the process of combining egg and sperm in the IVF lab to facilitate a pregnancy. When you decide to pursue the advanced fertility treatment of IVF, it’s imperative that you select a fertility lab with the credentials, experience, personnel and facility to best care for your embryos. We work closely with your fertility specialist to make sure that you understand the logistics of egg retrieval and embryo transfer when you schedule a cycle with us.

Cryopreservation

We specialize in freezing and storing eggs, sperm and embryos as part of either the IVF process or fertility preservation. Ovation’s San Antonio IVF lab uses vitrification – the newest, most effective form of freezing technology – to provide you with the best chance for pregnancy when you use frozen eggs, sperm or embryos.
